According to reports, Stephen Keshi and the NFF have reach an agreement over the renewal of his contract as Super Eagles coach
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have revealed that they are optimistic of agreeing a deal with coach Stephen Keshi soon.
Like we earlier reported, the NFF and Stephen Keshi met recently to iron out agreements over a new contract.
Keshi's brother and lawyer on Wednesday met with the NFF technical committee chairman, Felix Anyansi-Agwu, technical member Ahmed Fresh, head of legal department Okey Obi , director of marketing Idris Adama and deputy deputy secretary general Emmanuel Ikpeme.
“It was a very good meeting and we have made tremendous progress,” Anyansi-Agwu. said about the meeting.
“The
meeting still continues and in days to come we would inform you of our
position but all I can say now is that we have made progress and things
are looking good.”
The technical committee
reconvened on Thursday and according to popular sports journalist and
analyst Collin Udoh, there was breakthrough in the talks between Keshi's
reps and the NFF.
"Breakthrough bwn Keshi and
NFF on contract talks. Very little disagreement on reported
'slave-contract'. All major clauses accepted by coach," Colin Udoh wrote on Twitter.
