A South Korean activist has revealed that he used balloons to send thousands of DVDs of the controversial movie 'The Interview' into North Korea.
According to the North Korean defector, Lee Min-bok, he's completed four balloon launches since January, with the latest carried out in the dead of night on Saturday.
'The Interview' which is about a fictional CIA plot to kill North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, was initially pulled off by Sony following a hacking attack and threats to attack screening cinemas which the FBI accused North Korea of.
According
to the defector, he tied the DVDs to balloons along with bundles of US
dollars and leaflets criticising Mr Kim's regime.
"I launched thousands of copies and about a million leaflets on Saturday, near the western part of the border." - He told AFP news agency.
